Dear Pit Boss,
How do you play Roulette?
James la.
Arizona
Pit boss answer:
Roulette is an exciting game which is all about predicting the winning number. The wheel consists of numbered pockets ranging from 0/00 to 36. The wheel spins and in goes the ball. If the ball settles in a groove marked with one of the numbers you bet on, guess what…you're a winner! Did you know that the single zero versions of the game cut the house advantage in half from 5.26% to 2.63%!
Dear Pit Boss,
Roulette: Where did it come from?
Patricia Bo.
Texas
Pit boss answer:
According to myth and some historians, the game was invented by the mathematician Pascal in the 17th century. However some believe the game could have originated in China and was brought to Europe through Dominican monks trading with Europe.
Dear Pit Boss,
What are the best known strategies for playing Roulette?

Pit boss answer:
A few Strategies:
The Labouchere System - This system promotes players to use a series of numbers in a line which will in turn assist them in determining a bet amount. This system comes into effect after a loss or a win. A player would:
Add all numbers at the front and end of each line and by doing so determine the size of the next bet.
When one wins, then cross off the numbers on the outside and continue the process on the shorter line.
When one loses, add the previous bet to the end of the line and continue the process on the longer line.
This system is a flexible progression system and a player has the ability to create his or her initial line to one's own playing preference.
The Dozen Bet System - The following system is divided into 2 different ways:
Single Dozen Bets - A player will use a progressive incrementing stake list which would start from the casino's table minimum and would go to the casino's table maximum.
The aim is to use single dozen bets in order to win and doing so before the stake list is finished.
One possibility could be to bet on the same dozen which has appeared after 2 consecutive appearances such as betting on the dozen which appeared the most in the last 15, 9 or 5 spins.
Betting on the dozen which hasn't appeared for 7 or more spins, finally appears for the first time.
Double dozen Bets - this option uses 2 dozen bets and half the stake list size of the single dozen bet version.
